Gov. Oborevwori mourns Wealth Lori, says he was a dependable partyman
Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State has sent condolences to the Lori family, and the Itsekiri nation on the passing of their father, late Deacon Erebo Wealth Lori.
The late Wealth Lori was a younger brother to elder stateswoman, Chief (Mrs) Rita Lori-Ogbebor.
Until his death after a brief illness, the late Wealth Lori was a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) where he served as Treasurer of the party in Warri South Local Government Area.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon in Asaba, the governor condoled the Ajigba and Okere communities, and the Itsekiri nation on the death of Lori who was also a former Senior Special Assistant (Peace Building) to the immediate past governor.
Governor Oborevwori in the statement, said late Wealth Lori was a grassroot politician and dependable party man who contributed immensely to the growth of PDP in his ward, local government area and the state.
“On behalf of the government and people of Delta, I mourn the passing of Deacon Erebo Wealth Lori, a grassroots-politician, who died recently at 54.
“The news of his death was one of great shock and disbelief. He was an easy-going man, friendly and receptive to the young and elderly, and distinguished himself in his service to the state.
“As Treasurer of our party in Warri South and Senior Special Assistant to the immediate past Governor on Peace Building, he served diligently and demonstrated commitment to the unity and development of the state,” he said.
Oborevwori regretted that the deceased departed when his services were needed more, and said that the state government and the people would miss him greatly.
He prayed to God to accept his soul and grant fortitude to the family, friends and associates he left to bear the loss.
