Ajudaibo Community Flood: Etacherure inspects level of damage in the community.
Delta State Commissioner,Bureau For Special Duties,Etacherure Ejiro Terry has paid visit to Ajudaibo Community in Warri South West Local Government Area of Delta State,over the sudden destruction of properties by coastal flood in the community.
The Honorable Commissioner along side the Director, State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Mr karo Ovemeso, Director Relief Rescue and Rehabilitation SEMA, Mrs Elizabeth Chukwumah and a host of others were on ground to ascertain the level of damage caused by the coastal flood. The Flood ravaged the community destroying properties and causing the inhabitants to flee from their homes.
Etacherure who also paid visit to the house of the Deputy Leader of Ajudiabo Community Pa Joseph Inome, who’s house was also submerged by the flood, commiserated with him and noted that the pain of any Deltan is troubles and worries for the Government of the State led by RT. Hon. (Elder) Sheriff Oborevwori,the Governor of Delta State hence the visit.
The Bureau Commissioner further reiterated that the visit is at the behest of the Governor who was compassionate after watching the viral “Plea for help video” and deemed it necessary to send him to the community to let them know that he cares for all, as all Deltans matter in his administration.
The coastal flood which is first of its kind in Ajudaibo Community started on Monday 11th March 2024.
It rolls in and out of the community every 6hours creates various pathways for itself as a result of the high tide from the sea and also leaves debris and other dirts littering across the community.q
