Oborevwori salutes Bayelsa Governor, Diri at 65
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has felicitated his Bayelsa counterpart, Senator Douye Diri, as he clocks 65 years on June 4.
Governor Oborevwori in statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Festus Ahon, in Asaba, said that since Diri assumed office as Governor of Bayelsa in 2019, Yenagoa, the state capital, and other parts of the state have experienced extraordinary growth and development.
“I must commend you, my dear brother Governor, for your sterling accomplishments in the development of your State, which I believe accounted for the massive votes you recorded in your re-election for a second term.
“I must also commend you for the numerous infrastructural projects including the new Etegwe Bridge, the redesigned Etegwe/Edepie Roundabout and the Agilobi internal road project in Agudama-Epie, which I had the pleasure of inaugurating in Yenagoa, October last year,” he remarked.
Continuing, the Governor said: “To my brother Governor, Senator Douye Diri, a gentleman politician and a model leader, I extend my congratulations on your 65th birth anniversary on behalf of my family, the government and the people of Delta.
“I join your family, friends, and well-wishers in expressing our gratitude to Almighty God on this auspicious occasion of your birth anniversary for a life filled with divine favour and remarkable accomplishments”.
