Gov Oborevwori moves to deflood Warri Stadium
Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, Thursday, said the state government would soon award contract to deflood Warri Stadium and environs. Speaking during inspection of discharge channels at Ogbe-Ijoh market, Governor Oborevwori said all the drains around the stadium were not flowing because they were blocked by refuse. The Governor further frowned at those who built on waterways, adding that such buildings would be removed to allow free flow of water on the waterways. Don’t Bid For Jobs Beyond Your Capacity, DTSG Tells Contractors
Delta State Government has charged contractors in the state not to bid for any state government's project that they do not have the capacity to deliver. The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Kingsley Emu who handed down the charge at a meeting with contractors executing various projects for the state government held on Thursday in Asaba, said the state government would not tolerate sub-standard projects.
