  Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff Oborevwori will on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 preside over the swearing-in ceremony for newly appointed Commissioners and Special Advisers. The Commissioner nominees earlier screened by the Delta State House of Assembly are Barr.Val Areyinka; Hon. Peter Okagbare Uviejitobor; Barr. Harry Thankgod Trakiriowei; Chief Ebikeme Clark; Hon. Sunday Tataobuzogwu and Smart Ijeoma Ufoh. Also to be sworn-in as Special Advisers are: Hon. George Oyefia; Mr. Johnbull Edema; Hon. Matthew Poko Opuoru; Hon. Ramsey Tega Onoyake; Dr.Toyin Orighomisan Agbolayah and Chief.

  The Delta State Judiciary will begin its Annual Vacation from Thursday 1st August 2024 to Thursday 25th September, 2024 after which the New Legal Year activities will commence. This information was disclosed in a Notice issued to this effect by The Chief Judge of Delta State, Hon. Justice Tessy Diai. According to the Vacation Notice, the Chief Judge in line with Order 45, Rule 4 (2) of the High Court of Delta State (Civil Procedure) Rules, 2009, approved the annual vacation.
